Motivasi : Dilema Pelajar PERUBATAN

Assalamualaikum WBT.

Apabila saya bertanyakan pendapat para doktor mengenai teknik belajar di zaman undergraduate mereka, pelbagai jawapan yang mereka berikan. Antaranya adalah;

Doktor A: “I’m not really the type of student who used to study all the time. I just study a little and enjoying my life. I watch movie, hang out with friend. During my time, I’m just above average student in term of academic. But look who I am today. I also become a doctor and now I’m a clinical specialist and lecturer. So, you don’t have to worry too much.”

Doctor B: “Seriously dude! You make a big mistake. At this time, you don’t have to study this much. Just sleep and enjoy it because later on you will miss the sleep part.”

Doctor C: “Well, most of the doctor who come back to join master student are the average student. They are not very good during their undergraduate time but yet manage to join master. Most of the excellent student during undergraduate just end up to become a GP.”

Doctor D: “I’m so surprised to see many final year student here are depressed. They are not supposed to feel stress out because they learn about most of the thing since first year. At this time, they are just one step to become a doctor. Learn smart not hard!”

Doctor E: “ Aku dulu tyme student bukan jenis yang top student pun. Orang tak pandang pun aku sebab kurang pandai. Tapi skang boleh je aku survive. Bukan nak riak tapi skill aku lagi hebat daripada kawan-kawan aku dulu.”

Doctor F: “Yes! In term of knowledge I admit I lack it because I did not study very much. But in term of skills, I can proud with it. Being an emergency specialist needs a lot of skills.”

Doctor G: “The most important is you know the basic and you can answer everything. I give you a simple example. By knowing sterling equation, you can master everything about pulmonary edema and fluid imbalance and everything will be on the tip of your finger.”

Doctor H: “You must learn by your heart and not just swallow everything, and then only you can success.”

Doctor I: “Hurm, skipping class! Well I’m not encouraging you. Please bear it in your mind. But if you want to skip class, please make sure you know very well the topic.”

Doctor J: “well in the SPM exam, yes you have to study hard and smart because you are competing with each other for a place in university. Now, you are already here!

Mereka biasanya akan mengkelaskan topik-topik kepada “Must Know”, “Nice To Know” dan “Not Important”.
